About Me

Meet Maria

I'm a writer/blogger and a transformational guide. I didn’t plan it this way really, my soul called me into it. With my intense love of journaling, I might have seen it coming. For me, writing is an incredibly beautiful practice for little ‘i’ to connect with my higher self ‘I.’ Not in my wildest dreams would I have imagined to take some of my deeply personal firsthand experiences of pivotal moments of my self-transformation journey into the ‘public eye.’

Yet with much gentle nudging from dear friends, those living and non-corporeal, I finally took those journal books full of notes, stories, and insights and began writing ‘in earnest,’ just this past December 2018. Little did I know then that compiling a book such as this is not at all the “I sit down and write a book” idea I had envisioned. As the material flowed in, more of my own barriers to my true self had to give way. It (the thing I lovingly called Book 3) and ‘I’ began kneading through each other in the most surprising, healing and expansive ways. But to my stunned surprise, dismay, or both, the greatest barrier was yet to reveal itself, that of taking ‘our’ content, ‘our’ show on the road, into workshops and onto the internet, while the book itself is heading into its editorial & publishing process. It seems as though the feelings of excited and frightened, simultaneously, make up this razor’s edge on which I tend to soar squarely into unknown terrain.

How did my journey unfold?

Let me begin in Germany, where I was born and raised in a small farm community and where my first major soul’s calling, that into higher education, revealed itself while I was a teen, during a visit to the gorgeous campus of the University of Muenster in Germany. I recall standing in its magnificent library, in stunned awe, and just knew: this is it!

Manifesting Major Dreams

Then, as a 19-year old, I fell in love with images of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco. With that my fervent dream to visit San Francisco was born and I intended to visit this landmark as a tourist someday. Both of these big dreams unfolded within a few short years, just not at all the way I had envisioned.

By divine design, I met my husband of 35 years, Kevin, then a member of the US Air Force, in 1983. Unexpectedly, in 1989, exactly ten years after my dream of a higher education had been shattered, my exhilarating journey into my academic studies began, not with a German University, as I had first imagined, but while stationed at Bitburg Air Base in Germany, with the University of Maryland, European Division. The second big dream manifested itself in equally as surprising and unexpected ways. When it was time to leave Germany in 1991, the Air Force stationed us at Travis Air Force Base in the San Francisco Bay Area

I Love Learning

My intense love of learning and research, and my gratitude for living a dream come true must have, unbeknownst to me at the time, presented me the opportunity to continue my higher education at the University of California, Davis (UCD). Today I hold a Ph.D. in Agricultural & Environmental Sciences with UCD. My career experiences include research positions at this university and the United States Dept. of Agriculture. I thoroughly enjoyed the research, yet my disillusionment with the bureaucratic systems led to my departure

The Freedom of Choice

In a major direction-changing decision, I resolved to honor my love of creativity, the arts, and teaching and opened a design studio / retail business. While I absolutely delight in the fiber arts and still adore the clients / friends I made during that season of my soul’s unfolding, I realized that the hours of the retail environment impinged severely on my most ardent love:

All Things Are Energy

My fiery curiosity and adventurous spirit then led me into exploratory excursions into leadership training, Kiyosaki financial training, and finally, lo and behold, into the “What’s up with this?”… woo-woo terrain of energy healing, where I completed coursework in Pranic Healing, Quantum Touch, and Reiki, and where the innocent announcement: “All Things Are Energy” revolutionized my life. It’s been a whirlwind path, to say the least, and often I wondered: “what is it that is mine to do?” All the while, I was being prepared for that which is just now beginning to unfold by divine design.

Do I feel more comfortable in my meditation garden?

You bet! That spiritual closet feels like a safe haven. So what fuels my motivation to be bold and step out into broad daylight anyway? Over the years I have been privileged to have been able to share my stories with fellow journeyers and guide them along their own unique paths. It has been an honor to witness their walk through their own confusion and existential fog into clarity and the radical freedom that comes with knowing one’s true self. Every time I get to ‘sense’ a glass ceiling shatter and see another spirit free to soar, my heart bursts open in ecstatic joy. It feels as though I receive an angelic injection of energy every time which fuels my desire to serve an ever growing tribe of awakening souls.

We are here to create heaven on earth

I am excited to help those who are ready to embark/continue on their self-transformation journey from navigating their lives from within the inherent limitations of the intellect to consciously, vibrationally co-creating their reality, to leading a life of deep satisfaction, joy, and manifesting magic with ease and grace.
